Fred's Top Picks
My 'Top Picks' are those pubs I always make an effort to visit when I am in Dublin.
Note that we regularly update what constitutes a top pick so places can be relegated from the list if their beer range dips or there are other significant changes.
These are pubs you should visit if you have time.
First Dublin pub of Galway Bay Brewery (sister pub to the newer Brew Dock and Black Sheep).
Sister pub to Against the Grain and The Black Sheep. Owned by Galway Bay Brewery but has a good selection of other beers.
Modern "Gastropub" with some interesting beers.
Taproom and pub for Four Provinces Brewing. Half the taps are their beers and half guests.
The Legal Eagle
Primarily a restaurant but you can just drink.
Neighborhood pub in the suburb of Dalkey. Surprising good selection of beer for an out of way place.
Cozy corner pub, sister to 57 The Headline.
Second location of the Porterhouse Brewing Company. Across from Trinity College.
Tap room for the Rascals Brewery, Pizza available. In suburban Inchicore, it is easily reached by Dublin Bus or LUAS.
